Ladbrokes Bingo Presents #LetsGlow
If there's one thing we're passionate about here at Ladbrokes Bingo it's, you guessed it, playing bingo. Whether it's playing online of off, we love the transformation we're currently seeing into a cool, trendy, game whether you be male, female, old or young, the world seems to love shouting "House!" right now.
We decided to take that one step further and vamp it up even further by putting on a Glow in The Dark Bingo Event for bloggers in one of Leeds' hottest venues, the Belgrave Music Hall and Canteen. Putting on a completely UV event, we showed that bingo can match anything for a fun, exciting, and unforgettable evening.
Taking to Pinterest for inspiration, we filled mason jars with UV-friendly tonic water and glow lava lamps to transform the venue into a UV extravaganza. We also found some amazing glow in the dark balloons to bring in the party atmosphere, and some fairy lights to help light the way. We brought in an amazing UV face painter with some amazing designs to get everyone into the spirit light up their look, whilst a manicurist treated everyone to some pretty incredible UV nails.
But oh no, it didn't stop there. Our giant bingo cage was equipped with illuminated bingo balls, meaning our exuberant caller Dom Hodgson could see the numbers in the darkness. Even our players' cards shone out across the Belgrave.
Of course, it all made for hungry work, and the guys at Doughboys and Patty Smiths put on some of the Belgrave's amazing pizza and chips for everyone to get stuck into. Cake covered dessert with some stunning bingo-themed cupcakes that were so temptuous they could have created more than two fat ladies.
Like all bingo games, each round played had winners for one line, two lines, and full house with some incredible prizes up for grabs. One line winners got a choice of some awesome goodies from Lush, while those who won two lines picked up an amazing gift set from Soap & Glory. And as for the full house prizes, winners received a fabulous grey Olivia Burton watch, a Pandora bracelet with a lucky four leaf clover charm, and a huge hamper from Yorkshire's infamous Betty's Tea Room.
We also held an Instagram competition on the night. With the event being so visually dramatic, we asked bloggers to capture and share the most creative image they could. Ellie Kate Myers won with the above picture and received a Fuji Instax Mini camera to keep her snapping happy.
Throughout the event, we had DJ adding to a great atmosphere, with the drinks flowing freely, and everyone having an amazing time. We always knew bingo could light up a room!
